Audit

Audit

Companies operating on the basis of double-entry bookkeeping are required to have their financial statements audited. However the audit is not mandatory if both of the following conditions are met: the company’s average net turnover for the two preceding business years did not exceed HUF 100 million (calculated for one year); and the company’s average headcount for the two preceding business years did not exceed 50. In any other case when the audit is not required by the Act on Accounting or by any other laws, the company may decide to audit its financial statement.

The aim of the audit is to determine whether the annual financial statement, simplified annual financial statement, or consolidated annual financial statement is prepared in accordance with the requirements stipulated by the Act on Accounting, and such gives a true and fair view of the company's assets, liabilities, financial position, profits and losses.

  • audit of annual financial statement simplified annual financial statement for companies required to be audited;
  • audit of annual financial statement simplified annual financial statement for companies based on the decision of the company;
  • Audit of the draft balance of assets and draft assets inventory for restructuring;
  • Audit of the final balance of assets and final assets inventory for restructuring.
